Job Summary:
Are you a skilled and safety-conscious Forklift Operator looking for a rewarding opportunity in Austin, Texas? We are hiring experienced individuals to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment within our busy distribution center. Your role will be crucial in moving, locating, relocating, stacking, and counting inventory. This position requires a high degree of responsibility and a commitment to maintaining a safe and efficient warehouse operation. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of safe forklift operation, excellent spatial awareness, and the ability to work effectively in a demanding logistics environment. We expect all team members to prioritize safety above all else and to be diligent in their duties.
Responsibilities:
  • Operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks, etc.) safely and efficiently to move materials throughout the warehouse.
  • Load and unload trucks, trailers, and containers.
  • Transport raw materials, finished goods, and other inventory items to and from designated areas.
  • Stack and unstack palletized items safely and accurately.
  • Perform daily inspections of forklifts and report any maintenance issues immediately.
  • Assist with inventory management, including cycle counts and stock rotation.
  • Follow all company safety procedures and protocols, including the mandatory use of PPE.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Collaborate with other warehouse personnel to ensure smooth workflow.

Qualifications:
  • Valid forklift operator certification or license.
  • Proven experience as a forklift operator in a warehouse setting.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of warehouse safety regulations and procedures.
  • Ability to lift up to 70 lbs.
  • Strong understanding of logistics and inventory control principles.
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial reasoning skills.
  • Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
  • Commitment to a safety-first culture.
