We are seeking a meticulous Receiving Clerk for our busy Atlanta, Georgia distribution center! In this essential role, you will be the first point of contact for incoming inventory, ensuring its accurate recording and proper staging. Your responsibilities will include unloading trucks, verifying the contents of shipments against purchase orders, inspecting goods for damage, and accurately entering receiving data into our inventory system. This position is key to maintaining the integrity of our supply chain and logistics operations. You will work closely with vendors and internal teams to resolve any discrepancies. A strong emphasis is placed on workplace Safety; all employees must adhere to established safety procedures and wear the appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), such as safety vests and gloves. This role requires the ability to perform moderate Lifting of incoming goods, and a good eye for detail is crucial for verifying shipments. Responsibilities:
- Unload incoming shipments from trucks.
- Verify quantities and descriptions of goods against purchase orders.
- Inspect incoming products for damage or defects.
- Accurately record receiving data into the inventory management system.
- Stage received goods for put-away or further processing.
- Communicate with vendors and internal departments regarding discrepancies.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
- Adhere to all Safety guidelines and best practices.
- Wear all required PPE, including safety shoes and eye protection.
- Perform tasks that may involve Lifting of incoming materials.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in receiving or warehouse operations preferred.
- Proficiency in using inventory management software.
- Strong organizational and data entry skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to perform moderate Lifting.
- Commitment to Safety and proper PPE usage.
