We are looking for a certified Forklift Operator to join our logistics team in San Jose, California. This role is critical for the efficient movement and storage of materials within our warehouse. You will operate forklifts and other powered industrial trucks to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. A strong emphasis on Safety, precision, and operational efficiency is required. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts and other powered industrial trucks safely and efficiently to transport materials within the warehouse.
- Load and unload trailers, ensuring proper securing of goods.
- Move and stack merchandise in designated storage areas, optimizing space utilization.
- Perform pre-operation inspections of forklifts and report any maintenance issues immediately.
- Assist with inventory management, including cycle counts and stock verification.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all Safety guidelines.
- Comply with all company Safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Support shipping and receiving operations as needed.
- Collaborate with warehouse team members to ensure smooth workflow and meet operational goals.
- Accurately record movement of goods using the warehouse management system (WMS).
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification from a recognized institution.
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator in a warehouse or logistics environment.
- Proficiency in operating various types of forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up).
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations and inventory control.
- Excellent knowledge of Safety procedures and regulations.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 75 pounds.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Reliability and punctuality are essential.
- Must be able to work flexible hours and shifts as required by the logistics demands.
