Join our Des Moines, Iowa team as a Warehouse Associate! We are looking for individuals who are dependable, energetic, and ready to contribute to our busy warehouse operations. As a Warehouse Associate, you will be involved in a wide range of activities that ensure the efficient flow of goods, from receiving and storing to picking and shipping. This role is fundamental to our logistics and supply chain success.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and damage.
- Sort and store inventory in designated locations within the warehouse.
- Accurately pick and pack orders according to customer specifications and company standards.
- Load outgoing shipments onto trucks, ensuring proper securing and handling.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts (if certified), and hand trucks safely.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by following all housekeeping and safety rules.
- Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) for inventory tracking and order processing.
- Strictly adhere to all safety protocols, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Participate in regular inventory counts and help maintain inventory accuracy.
- Support the overall logistics operations through dedicated performance and teamwork.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous warehouse or logistics experience is a strong advantage.
- Ability to operate warehouse equipment proficiently and safely is essential.
- Must be capable of performing physical tasks, including frequent Lifting of up to 60 pounds.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
- Understanding of warehouse safety practices and the critical role of PPE.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
- Reliability and a positive attitude are key for this role.
