We are seeking an experienced Inventory Control Specialist for our Boston, Massachusetts location. The Inventory Control Specialist will play a critical role in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory. This position requires a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and a deep understanding of inventory management best practices within a logistics environment. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of inventory control, from receiving to storage and final shipment, ensuring that our stock levels are precise and our records are up-to-date.
Responsibilities:
- Implement and manage inventory control procedures to ensure accuracy.
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories, investigating and resolving discrepancies promptly.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends, potential issues, and areas for improvement.
- Monitor stock levels and initiate replenishment orders as needed.
- Oversee the receiving and put-away process to ensure accurate recording of incoming goods.
- Manage the organization and storage of inventory to optimize space and accessibility.
- Develop and maintain accurate inventory records using WMS (Warehouse Management System) and other relevant software.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies and safety regulations, including the proper use of PPE.
- Collaborate with the logistics, purchasing, and operations teams to resolve inventory-related issues.
- Train and guide other warehouse staff on inventory control procedures and best practices.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field is a plus.
- Proven experience in inventory control, warehousing, or a related logistics role.
- Proficiency in WMS software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including occasional Lifting of up to 30 pounds, and work in a warehouse setting.
- Excellent understanding of inventory management principles and supply chain logistics.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment, including the correct use of PPE.
