Our client is seeking a Senior Chemical Engineer to join their Production Process team. With over 85 years of manufacturing excellence, our client operates advanced, energy‑efficient production technologies to deliver high‑quality products to international standards. Reporting to the Production Manager, the successful candidate will play a key technical role supporting production, maintenance, and continuous improvement activities across the site.

Role Responsibilities
The Senior Chemical Engineer will provide technical expertise to optimise production processes, improve performance, and support operational reliability. Key responsibilities include:
- Managing process performance, including heat transfer, material/mass balances, and process design
- Overseeing performance and resolving quality control issues
- Monitoring and analysing performance data to drive continuous process improvement
- Ensuring adherence to relevant Health & Safety standards
- Assisting with process improvement projects and onsite technical assignments
- Coordinating and supervising contractors for specific tasks or project work
- Contributing to kiln overhauls, project start‑ups, and commissioning activities
- Troubleshooting manufacturing issues and implementing improvement programmes
- Supporting the development and maintenance of process documentation and operational xcfaprz manuals
The ideal candidate will offer:
- A degree or equivalent qualification in Chemical Engineering or a related field
- A minimum of 5+ years relevant industrial experience
- Strong communication and relationship‑building skills
- Proven technical competence and commercial awareness
- Experience and capability in project management
- Leadership competencies
