Commissioning Engineer

Our client is a leading M&E Consultancy delivering projects across Data Centres, Pharmaceutical, Commercial, and Residential sectors. They are now seeking a Commissioning Engineer to join their Dublin team, supporting the successful delivery and handover of building services systems.

The Commissioning Engineer will be responsible for providing commissioning expertise and ensuring building services systems are tested, verified, and handed over in line with design, safety, and operational requirements. The role will involve close collaboration with the project team, design consultants, contractors, and building owners.

• Supporting the project team with commissioning guidance and technical input.
• Overseeing the commissioning of mechanical, electrical, and building services systems, such as ventilation, controls, lighting, and water services.
• Preparing commissioning documentation, including test plans, procedures, and reporting tools.
• Acting as a point of coordination between contractors, design consultants, and building owners throughout the commissioning phase.
• Reviewing and validating test results to ensure systems are performing to design and operational requirements.
• Ensuring all critical systems - including environmental controls, fire safety, electrical distribution, and vertical transport - operate correctly under automated control.
• Carrying out on-site witnessing and inspections to confirm compliance with commissioning standards.
• Delivering clear reports at project completion, outlining system performance and recommendations for optimisation.

• Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering.
• 1-2 years’ experience commissioning building services in commercial, residential, pharmaceutical, or data centre projects.
• Strong technical understanding of Mechanical or Electrical building services systems.
• Full driving licence and access to a vehicle. xcfaprz
