Medforce is proud to partner with a leading Primary Care team in Galway to recruit Staff Grade and Senior Grade Psychologists for their Child Services division. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a lasting impact in the lives of children and families while working as part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary team.
About the Role:
You will work within a supportive Primary Care environment providing psychological assessments and therapeutic interventions to children with a wide range of emotional, behavioural, and developmental needs.
Key Responsibilities of the Psychologist:
- Deliver high-quality psychological assessments and evidence-based interventions
- Support children with emotional, social, and developmental difficulties
- Collaborate closely with families, schools, and other professionals
- Participate in team meetings, care planning, and service development
- (Senior Role) Provide clinical supervision and mentoring to junior staff
- (Senior Role) Lead on service improvement and quality initiatives
Requirements for the Psychologist:
Staff Grade:
- A recognised postgraduate qualification in Clinical, Counselling, or Educational Psychology
- CORU registration (or eligible)
- Experience working with children in a clinical or educational setting
- Strong communication and organisational skills
Senior Grade:
- Minimum of 3 years’ post-qualification experience (must include paediatric experience)
- Experience in leading service development or quality improvement initiatives
- Proven skills in supervision, complex case management, and MDT collaboration
