Senior Physical Design Application Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Physical Design Application Engineer to join a leading‑edge team supporting advanced digital implementation and signoff technologies. This role acts as a key technical interface between customers and internal R&D teams, taking ownership of customer success and ensuring smooth integration of complex mixed‑signal IP into SoC production.

As a Senior Physical Design Application Engineer, you will:

• 
  
• Provide hands‑on technical support in backend digital design implementation and signoff, focusing on pre‑silicon challenges and integration flows
  
• Serve as the primary technical point of contact for key customers, tracking and prioritising technical issues, coordinating resolutions with internal R&D teams, and clearly communicating progress
  
• Guide customers in using advanced design technologies
  
• Deliver technical presentations, demonstrations, and evaluations to showcase solutions and support customer adoption
  
• Relay customer feedback to R&D teams to influence tool and flow development
  
• Contribute to light project coordination activities, helping manage expectations and ensuring effective collaboration between stakeholders
  

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• 
  
• A bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical or electronic engineering or a related field
  
• Proven experience across the full physical design flow with multiple successful tapeouts
  
• Strong understanding of pre‑silicon backend implementation, including physical design, design closure, and simulation concepts
  
• Strong customer‑facing and communication skills, with xcfaprz the ability to manage technical discussions and handle high‑priority customer issues
  
• Experience acting as an interface between customers and internal engineering or R&D teams
  
• Exposure to project coordination or project management environments is desirable
  
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
