We are currently searching for a Senior Backend Software Engineer to serve as both an individual contributor and a project anchor. In this role, you will lead technical direction, mentor fellow engineers, and collaborate across teams. We are eager to find candidates with intellectual curiosity and a willingness to take risks, all while fostering a diverse and positive work environment.
Your responsibilities will include:
Designing and developing distributed systems.
Providing technical leadership and collaborating with stakeholders to shape strategic roadmaps.
Managing project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables using your technical expertise.
Mentoring and training team members on design methodologies and coding standards.
Creating foundational infrastructure components for all engineering teams in production (e.g., dynamic configuration, secrets storage, container orchestration).
Writing high-quality, well-tested code to serve our customers’ needs.
What we’re looking for:
8+ years of experience in software engineering.
You have successfully architected and developed impactful solutions to complex problems.
You are passionate about building an open financial system that connects the world.
Preferred qualifications:
Experience in a rapidly growing organization (from a small team to hundreds of engineers).
Familiarity with blockchain technologies (such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, etc.).
Experience in transitioning from a large monolithic application to microservices.
Proficiency in languages and tools such as Golang, Ruby, Docker, Sinatra, Rails, and Postgres.
Background in developing financial, high-reliability, or security systems.

Pay Transparency Notice: * *The target annual *base *salary for this position may range from $218,025 to $256,500 USD, excluding equity and bonuses. Total compensation may also include medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) benefits.
