Role Purpose

As a Software Engineer at Manna, you'll design, build, and maintain the software systems that enable safe, scalable, and efficient drone delivery. You'll work across the stack - from Java backend services and React frontends to AWS cloud systems - helping deliver high-quality, reliable software in a dynamic environment.

You'll collaborate closely with other engineers, product managers, and hardware specialists to deliver innovative software that powers every part of our delivery network. This role offers exposure to cutting-edge systems and the opportunity to learn in a high-performing, fast-moving team.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain backend services and APIs.
• Build responsive, user-friendly frontends using React.
• Contribute to integrations with C++-based flight and control software.

• Work across multiple layers of the stack, owning small features or components end-to-end.
• Support deployment, monitoring, and scaling in AWS environments.

• Collaborate within a cross-functional, fast-paced team and adapt quickly to changing priorities.
• Participate in code reviews, share feedback, and help uphold team coding standards.

• Write maintainable, well-tested code that meets Manna's safety and performance standards.
• Troubleshoot issues and contribute to continuous system reliability improvements.

• Learn from peers and contribute to improving development processes, architecture, and tooling.
• Leverage modern development tools, including LLMs, to enhance productivity, documentation, and code quality.

• 4+ years of experience in software development (or equivalent academic/project experience).
• Proficiency in at least one of: Java, JavaScript/TypeScript (React), C++ or Python.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (preferably AWS).
• Strong understanding of software testing, CI/CD, and version control (Git).
• Excellent collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills.
