*Overview*
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled HQHVSN Veterinary Surgeon to join our compassionate team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong passion for animal care and welfare, along with the expertise to perform high volume spay/neuter procedures on cats and dogs. The ideal candidate will also be able to provide relief wellness and urgent services when the chief veterinarian is out.
*Duties*
* Perform spay/neuter surgeries to shelter and public pets and all duties necessary to safely perform those surgeries, 28-35 per surgical day depending on the makeup of the schedule
* Other types of surgeries as needed and agreed upon (leg amputation, eye enucleation, etc).
* Relief/emergency veterinary services to shelter animals
* Relief/emergency veterinary services to clients in our Wellness Clinic
* Performing necropsies as needed
*Skills*
* Proficient in *pet care* and *animal handling*, ensuring the comfort and safety of all patients.
* Strong knowledge of *veterinary terminology* and *animal physiology* to effectively communicate with team members and pet owners.
* Experience with *aseptic technique* to maintain sterile environments during surgical procedures.
* Ability to perform *animal restraint* safely and effectively during examinations and treatments.
* Familiarity with *dog handling* techniques for various breeds and temperaments.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $110,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
