- School Projects Location: Cork Sector: Construction (Educational Projects) Employment Type: Full-Time | Permanent Overview We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to join a well-established main contractor delivering school and educational projects across Cork.
This role is ideal for a driven construction professional with strong experience managing live sites, coordinating subcontractors, and ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.
Projects will include new builds, extensions, refurbishments, and fast-track works within live school environments.
--- Key Responsibilities Manage day-to-day site operations from groundworks through to handover Coordinate and supervise subcontractors and site teams Ensure works are completed to the highest quality standards Maintain strict adherence to Health & Safety regulations Develop and manage short-term programmes and look-ahead schedules Conduct site meetings and report progress to Contracts Manager Manage materials, plant, and labour requirements Oversee quality control procedures and snagging processes Liaise with clients, design teams, and stakeholders Ensure minimal disruption when working in live school environments --- Requirements 5+ years' experience as a Site Manager with a main contractor Proven track record delivering school or similar public sector projects Strong knowledge of Irish building regulations and H&S legislation Experience managing live environments is highly desirable Excellent organisational and leadership xcfaprz skills Strong communication and reporting abilities Proficient in reading drawings and managing programme schedules --- Qualifications Degree/Diploma in Construction Management, Engineering, or related discipline Safe Pass (Essential) Manual Handling (Essential) First Aid (Desirable) SMSTS or equivalent (Advantageous) --- What's on Offer Competitive salary (DOE) Company vehicle or allowance Pension contribution Ongoing pipeline of projects in Cork Opportunity to work with a reputable and growing contractor
