Electrical Design Engineer

I am recruiting for an Electrical Design Engineer to work for a multidisciplinary contractor in Galway. The role bridges design engineering and site execution, ensuring electrical systems are safe, compliant, efficient, and fully operational from concept through final handover.

• Design and engineer electrical systems from concept through handover
  
• Produce electrical drawings, calculations, and technical specifications
  
• Ensure compliance with applicable electrical standards and regulations
  
• Provide technical support to site teams during installation and commissioning
  
• Oversee and verify electrical installation works on site
  
• Plan and support testing and commissioning of electrical systems
  
• Troubleshoot electrical and commissioning issues during project executionCoordinate with multidisciplinary engineering and construction teams
  
• Support system energisation, performance verification, and handover
  

• 
  
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline or Qualified Electrician with relevant field experience
  
• 2–5 years’ experience in electrical design, installation support and commissioning
  
• Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems, standards, and best practices
  
• Experience working on industrial, commercial, or infrastructure projects
  
• Practical understanding of commissioning procedures and site activities
  
• Ability to read, interpret, and produce electrical drawings and specifications
  
• Experience with HV and LV electrical systems
  
• Knowledge of PLCs, SCADA, or automation systems is an advantage

• Salary of €60,000 - €80,000 DOE.
