This role is part of a Global Engineering team supporting a high-volume, highly automated manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will lead and coordinate project engineering activities related to the development and expansion of manufacturing capacity.
The position works cross-functionally with Manufacturing Operations, New Product Development (NPD), Research & Development (R&D), Quality Assurance (QA), Design Assurance (DA), and Supply Chain to deliver projects on time, within budget, and in full compliance with quality and regulatory standards.
The role includes leadership of project engineers, oversight of full project execution, and coordination with both internal stakeholders and external vendors to achieve project objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
New Process Implementation
- Lead the timely implementation of new manufacturing processes within the designated Value Stream.
- Deliver projects related to capacity expansion, new product introduction, and cost reduction.
- Provide cross-functional leadership for projects involving highly automated production equipment.
Project Management
- Develop and manage detailed project plans using stage-gate or equivalent methodologies.
- Track milestones, schedules, and deliverables to ensure commitments are met.
- Maintain full budgetary control and resource planning.
- Communicate progress using clearly defined performance metrics.
New Process Concept Development
- Oversee development of concepts for fully automated manufacturing systems.
- Partner with technology providers to prototype bottleneck processes and validate proof of principle.
- Develop high-level system concepts aligned to business and customer requirements.
New Product Introduction (NPI)
- Support introduction of new products and product upgrades within the Value Stream.
- Contribute to development and analysis of product costs (COGS).
Process Improvement
- Identify and implement process and product improvements to enhance performance, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
Design Transfer & Change Control
- Manage and document design transfer activities from development to manufacturing.
- Ensure effective implementation of change control processes.
Process Qualification & Compliance
- Support qualification and validation of new products and processes.
- Execute validation protocols and ensure compliance with quality standards.
Safety & Risk Management
- Ensure safety compliance within the area of responsibility.
- Support the execution and timely closure of risk assessments.
Communication & Stakeholder Management
- Provide regular project status updates to stakeholders and senior leadership. xcfaprz

Qualifications / Work Experience:
- Primary Degree in Engineering or Science discipline
- Minimum 7 years’ post-qualification experience in an Engineering or Science environment
- Minimum 3 years’ Project Management experience
