With a consistent pipeline of live construction projects, you will join a growing delivery team responsible for managing mechanical packages across multiple projects from pre-construction through to handover.
About Your New RoleAs a Mechanical Project Manager, you will take ownership of the delivery of mechanical building services installations across live construction projects. Working within a contractor environment, you will oversee all aspects of mechanical package delivery including procurement, programme management, subcontractor coordination and commissioning — ensuring installations are completed safely, on time and in line with technical specifications and project requirements.
Key Responsibilities Include:- Managing the delivery of HVAC, LTHW, CHW, ventilation, public health and associated mechanical systems across construction projects.
- Reviewing consultant design drawings and specifications to ensure buildability and alignment with project requirements.
- Managing technical submittals, RFIs, method statements and mechanical installation documentation.
- Coordinating with electrical teams, main contractors, subcontractors and suppliers to ensure integrated MEP delivery.
- Overseeing procurement of mechanical plant, materials and specialist subcontract packages in line with project budgets and timelines.
- Monitoring site progress, quality standards and compliance with health & safety regulations.
- Attending and leading site meetings, coordination workshops and progress reviews with stakeholders.
- Managing testing, commissioning activities and project handover documentation (O&M manuals, as-built drawings).
- Driving programme delivery and ensuring mechanical works are completed in line with construction schedules.
- Supporting value engineering initiatives and cost-effective installation solutions.
- Degree-qualified in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineering.
- 3–5+ years’ experience within a mechanical contractor or M&E contractor environment in a project or site management capacity.
- Strong technical knowledge of HVAC systems, heating and cooling systems, ventilation and public health installations.
- Good understanding of Irish Building Regulations and mechanical installation best practice.
- Knowledge of construction sequencing, subcontractor management and programme delivery.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise with site teams, subcontractors and consultants.
- Organised approach to managing documentation, deadlines and project deliverables.
