Manufacturing Engineer

Our clients in County Cork are presently recruiting for a Manufacturing Engineer with strong technical expertise to support product development, production efficiency, and quality standards. The role requires hands-on problem solving, cross-functional collaboration, and process improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Work with R&D and Production teams to assist with prototypes and New Product Introductions (NPI).
• Create and update Work Instructions, Procedures, and Bills of Material for new and existing products.
• Manage Engineering Change Notices and act as technical liaison with suppliers.
• Identify and implement product cost reduction opportunities.
• Oversee preventive maintenance and calibration schedules; organize external contractors as required.
• Participate in ISO and regulatory audits; investigate non-conformances and implement corrective actions.

Requirements

• Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication processes (Turret Punch, Press Brake, Welding).
• Ability to interpret electrical circuit drawings and specifications for cables, crimping, switches, and lighting.
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, complex formulas) for data analysis and reporting.
• Experience with AutoCAD Inventor (advantageous).
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and continuous improvement mindset.
