6 months Initial Contract Role (Possibility of Extension)

Hybrid Working in Abbey Street, Dublin 1 - 2 days onsite

The role is for an experienced Solution Architect to support the planning, design, and delivery of applications for key projects within the Client business strategy.

These applications are mission‑critical, providing policy administration, customer services, and work management.

They consist of a mix of on‑premise and cloud‑hosted solutions using a variety of technologies.

The strategic direction for new applications is to buy or build in the cloud.

The ideal candidate would have experience designing applications with these technologies:

• 
  
• Particularly serverless APIs and Application Integration
  
• WebLogic & Tomcat Hosted Java applications
  
• IIS Hosted C# applications
  
• Oracle and SQL Server databases
  
• Windows, AIX and Linux Operating Systems
  
• Job Scheduling tools for Batch operations
  
• Automated DevOps Pipelines
  
• Automated QA test tools for APIs and User Interfaces
  

The candidate should have:

• 
  
• Proven experience delivering distributed solutions in enterprise environments, ideally in Financial Services.
  
• Strong background in integration patterns and application engineering across on‑prem, hybrid cloud, and public cloud deployment models.
  
• The ability to work with business stakeholders to translate requirements into high-level designs focused on delivering business value.
  
• Experience producing high-level estimates to support business cases
  
• Ability to produce high quality architecture and designs taking into account
  
• Standards and best practices
  
• Security needs for applications processing financial and medical data
  
• The corporate risk appetite
  
• Commercials including Total Cost of Ownership
  
• Experience bringing designs through governance processes for review and approval.
  
• Experience supporting Agile development teams including providing oversight to ensure alignment with standards and best practices. xcfaprz
