We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented QA/QC Engineer to ensure that quality standards are consistently met across our mechanical and electrical (M&E) installations.
All potential candidates should read through the following details of this job with care before making an application.
The ideal candidate will have an engineering background and a strong understanding of quality control practices on M&E projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Quality Planning: Develop and maintain QA/QC plans, Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), and method statements tailored to project-specific scopes.
- Stage Tagging: Implement and manage stage tagging and hold-point processes throughout the project lifecycle to ensure phased sign-offs.
- Benchmarking: Lead first-of-a-kind (FOAK) benchmarking activities to establish reference standards for new technologies and systems.
- Inspections & Walkdowns: Conduct regular site inspections, oversee QA checks, and lead client walkdowns to ensure compliance and sign-off at each stage.
- Documentation: Maintain all quality records, including checklists, NCRs, punch lists, test reports, and sign-off sheets.
- Reporting: Provide regular updates on quality performance, issues, and resolutions to project and senior management.
- Audit & Compliance: Conduct internal audits and ensure compliance with client specifications, industry standards, and codes.
- Subcontractor Oversight: Review and approve subcontractor QA documentation and ensure their work meets required standards.
- Continuous Improvement: Incorporate lessons learned into quality systems to continually enhance performance and reliability across projects.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Degree-qualified in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering (or related discipline).
- Demonstrated QA/QC experience on mechanical and electrical construction projects, ideally in renewable energy or decarbonization sectors.
- Familiarity with first-of-a-kind project delivery, stage tagging, and structured walkdown processes.
- Working knowledge of standards such as ISO 9001, IEC codes, and relevant M&E installation guidelines.
- Skilled in developing and implementing inspection plans and managing document control workflows.
- Excellent communication, coordination, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Auditor qualifications or quality certifications (e.g., CQI, IRCA, or ISO 9001 Lead Auditor) are advantageous.
