- Burnfoot, County Donegal The Project Planner will lead the planning and coordination of multiple projects from receipt of order through to handover and completion.
This role is central to developing robust programmes, driving on-time delivery, and ensuring effective resource allocation throughout the project lifecycle.
Working closely with internal cross-functional teams and the wider Vertiv supply chain, the Project Planner will help ensure alignment, consistency, and seamless execution across all project phases.
Responsibilities and Measurement Criteria with Time investment Needed on Each:
- Programme Planning & Coordination Develop, maintain, and review project programmes at both pre-contract and post-contract stages, collaborating with relevant internal departments.
Coordinate with delivery, design, procurement, and site teams to ensure programmes are aligned, realistic, and consistently followed.
Produce and update project schedules, forecasts, and progress reports for internal and external stakeholders.
Facilitate regular programme review meetings with Project Delivery teams and contractors to address progress, risks, and required adjustments.
Resource & Timeline Management Work with cross-functional teams to determine the resources required to ensure successful project delivery.
Identify potential risks or delays and develop contingency plans to maintain key milestones and deadlines.
Develop procurement and design programmes in line with the agreed construction sequence.
Programme Analysis & Change Management Conduct critical programme reviews to support Extension of Time (EOT) assessments, identifying delays, constraints, and additional workload impacts.
Maintain a working knowledge of EOT and Compensation Event requirements to support accurate programme modifications.
Communication & Stakeholder Engagement Ensure clear, timely communication of programme updates, changes, and progress to both internal teams and external stakeholders.
Foster strong collaboration between office-based and site-based teams to maintain programme consistency and sequencing accuracy.
Qualifications:
- Required/ Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years' experience in Construction or Project Management, Building Services Engineering, or related fields.
Strong teamwork, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
Proficiency with planning software, ideally Asta Powerproject.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent verbal communication skills.
Resilient, proactive, and results-driven mindset.
Valid UK/EU driving licence.
Additional / Preferred Qualifications:
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
Previous experience managing a team or working closely with multiple departments.
Understanding of building services and typical construction sequencing.
