GL Accountant

• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
  
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
  
• Assist in the preparation and coordination of audits
  
• Analyse financial data to identify discrepancies and recommend corrective actions.
  
• Support the month-end and year-end closing processes.
  
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure proper financial control and reporting.
  
• Ensure compliance with all relevant tax regulations and financial policies.
  
• Contribute to process improvements and efficiency initiatives within the accounting and finance department.
  

A successful GL Accountant should have:

• 
  
• A degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  
• Professional qualification or part-qualification in accounting (e.g., ACCA, ACA, CIMA).
  
• Experience in general ledger accounting or a similar role.
  
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
  
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel. SAP S4HANA highly desired.
  
• Attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills.
  
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
