Manufacturing Engineer

Based in North Wexford our client is looking for a Maintenance Engineer to join their maintenance team .

The Role:

• Operation, preventative/corrective maintenance, and continuous improvement of all types of mechanical and electrical facilities and utility equipment/plant, in a manufacturing facility.
• Provide overall daily production support ensuring plant operations are maintained safely whilst ensuring personnel & product safety is maintained at all times.
• Performs & documents the scheduled preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance activities to plant machinery, equipment, and other systems.
• Provision of technical support and troubleshooting on mechanical controls predominantly but also support automated controls, CPU based systems, electrical equipment, pneumatic, building services and general facilities engineering
• Help management to maintain the Plant within environmental and quality performance regulations.
• Perform audits and contribute to month-end activity closely with the equipment suppliers, plant staff and Process Teams to ensure the successful operation of the plant.
• Work with the Senior Engineer to schedule regular maintenance activities and major repairs based on production needs, equipment condition and availability.
• Identify the maintenance hours per activity , ie Reactive Maintenance, Preventative Maintenance, Corrective Maintenance.

· Qualification: Third level award in Engineering, Electrical or National trade electrical / Mechanical

Qualities:

• Very strong Team player, must have excellent communication skills with the engineering team, production staff and management.
• Must possess very strong and systematic diagnostic skills, and robust documentation of records of works carried out. Strong IT skill a distinct advantage.
• Must be able to move between mechanical , electrical and computer control configuration projects as needed to support operations.
• Must be able to work with cross functional team on operational improvement projects, including lean and quality enhancement projects. xcfaprz
• Demonstrated knowledge of engineering fundamentals and proficiency in Microsoft Office, PLC, SAP, TIS and AutoCAD and advantage.

Experience: Ideally

• Process Engineering: 3 years (required)
• Industrial maintenance: 3 years (required)
