Architect and implement scalable, secure data solutions using cloud and big data technologies. Lead the design and development of advanced ETL processes and data models. Integrate systems and technologies across cloud and on-premise platforms. Troubleshoot and resolve complex data pipeline issues, ensuring data quality and integrity. Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions. Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a collaborative learning environment. Continuously monitor system performance and implement improvements. Identify opportunities for automation and optimization within data pipelines. Develop and maintain technical documentation and code standards. Lead delivery of data solutions following SRE and TDD practices. Experience and Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field, with 6+ years of experience in data engineering. Advanced knowledge and hands-on experience with:
Programming: Python, PySpark, Spark Workflow & Orchestration: Airflow, Jenkins, Terraform, Jira, Bitbucket Cloud Platforms: AWS (Athena, EMR Studio), Snowflake Database Architectures: SQL, NoSQL, graph databases Data Modeling & ETL Tools: Informatica Power Center, multidimensional modeling Data Query & Transformation: Jupyter notebooks, AWS Athena Operating Systems: Linux, MS Windows Code IDEs: Microsoft Visual Studio Code, Jupyter notebooks
Experience with algorithm analysis and collaborating with Data Scientists. Strong understanding of quantitative and fact-based data storage. Exposure to artificial intelligence, machine learning, and deep learning is a plus.

Pay Philosophy: The typical starting salary range for this role is determined by several factors including skills, experience, education, certifications, and location. Some roles at Mapfre are eligible for commission and/or bonus earnings, in addition to salary, calculated based upon factors set forth in the compensation plan for the role.
