We are hiring a Warehouse Worker for our facility in Washington, D.C. This essential role supports the daily operations of our logistics hub, ensuring efficient handling of goods. Responsibilities include receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping merchandise. The ideal candidate is hardworking, dependable, and committed to maintaining a safe and organized work environment. You will be working in a dynamic setting, handling a variety of products and materials. A strong understanding of warehouse procedures and a dedication to Safety are crucial. Responsibilities:
- Receive and inspect incoming shipments, verifying contents against documentation.
- Store materials in designated warehouse locations, ensuring proper organization.
- Pick and pack orders accurately and efficiently for shipment.
- Load and unload trucks and containers, utilizing appropriate equipment.
- Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work area, adhering to all Safety regulations.
- Utilize Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required for all tasks.
- Assist with inventory control, cycle counts, and stocktaking.
- Operate various warehouse equipment, such as pallet jacks and hand trucks.
- Follow all company policies and procedures related to logistics and warehouse operations.
- Contribute to team efforts and collaborate with colleagues to meet operational goals.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous warehouse or general labor experience preferred.
- Ability to perform tasks involving frequent Lifting, up to 60 lbs.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and Safety best practices.
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Good physical stamina and coordination.
- Commitment to upholding Safety standards.
- Team player with effective communication skills.
- Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime as needed.
