We are looking for a skilled Material Handler to join our busy logistics operations in San Francisco, California. This role is essential for managing the flow of materials within our facility, ensuring efficient handling, storage, and transport of goods. Responsibilities include operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and other machinery, as well as assisting with receiving and shipping processes. Safety is paramount, and all employees must strictly follow safety guidelines and wear the required PPE. Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment.
- Load and unload trucks, containers, and trailers with incoming and outgoing materials.
- Transport materials between different areas of the warehouse efficiently.
- Organize and store materials in designated locations, ensuring proper stock rotation.
- Receive inventory, verify counts, and inspect for damage.
- Assist with order picking, packing, and staging for shipment.
- Perform daily equipment checks and report any maintenance issues.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including mandatory use of PPE.
- Support the overall logistics team in achieving operational targets.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role.
- Forklift certification is highly preferred.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting, up to 60 lbs.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety regulations and best practices.
- Experience with various types of warehouse equipment.
- Strong organizational skills and a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced logistics setting.
- Excellent teamwork and communication abilities.
