Job Summary:
Join our fast-paced warehouse environment in Columbus, Ohio as a Forklift Operator! We are looking for experienced and safety-conscious individuals to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment. Your primary responsibility will be to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise efficiently and safely within our distribution center. This role is vital to our logistics operations, ensuring that goods are moved accurately and on time. You will play a key part in maintaining an organized warehouse and supporting our shipping and receiving functions. We emphasize a strong commitment to safety and provide all necessary training and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to ensure a secure work environment.
Responsibilities:
  • Safely operate various types of forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach truck) to move materials within the warehouse.
  • Load and unload trucks efficiently and accurately.
  • Transport raw materials, finished products, and stock to and from designated areas.
  • Perform pre-operation inspections of forklifts to ensure they are in good working condition.
  • Identify and report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards.
  • Assist with inventory counts and stock put-away.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies.
  • Utilize RF scanners to track inventory movement.
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve daily operational goals.
  • Support the logistics team in various warehouse tasks as needed.
  • Understand and follow shipping and receiving procedures.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Previous forklift operation experience required.
  • Valid forklift certification is a plus.
  • Ability to perform frequent lifting of up to 50 lbs.
  • Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and the correct use of PPE.
  • Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) is beneficial.
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination and balance.
  • Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in logistics or a distribution center setting is desirable.
