We are seeking a skilled and certified Forklift Operator to join our expanding logistics operations in Tampa, Florida. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of forklifts to move, stage, load, and unload materials throughout our warehouse facility. Your primary goal will be to ensure the smooth flow of goods and support overall warehouse productivity. This position demands precision, vigilance, and a strong commitment to safety. You will also assist with other warehouse duties as needed, including order picking, packing, and general organization. Our company places a high emphasis on workplace safety, and you will be provided with all necessary PPE and comprehensive training on safety protocols. This role involves regular physical activity, including significant Lifting of materials up to 50 lbs. Previous experience with various types of forklifts and a solid understanding of warehouse procedures are essential. Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, reach) to transport materials.
- Load and unload trucks and containers accurately and efficiently.
- Move and stack inventory to designated locations.
- Perform pre-shift equipment inspections and report any issues.
- Assist in order picking, packing, and preparing orders for shipment.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the use of PPE.
- Participate in inventory counts and stock checks.
- Collaborate with team members to meet operational targets.
- Report any safety hazards or operational inefficiencies.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse setting.
- Proficiency with various types of forklifts.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse safety practices and procedures.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
- Must be able to wear required PPE.
