We are seeking a skilled Material Handler to join our team in Boise, Idaho. In this role, you will be instrumental in the efficient movement of materials throughout our warehouse, ensuring that products are stored, retrieved, and transported safely and accurately. This position requires a strong understanding of warehouse operations, a commitment to Safety , and the ability to operate material handling equipment. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment to move goods.
- Load and unload trucks, containers, and other transport vehicles.
- Transport raw materials and finished goods to and from designated storage areas.
- Accurately track and record inventory movements using scanners and the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Perform regular equipment inspections and basic maintenance to ensure safe operation.
- Maintain a clean and orderly warehouse environment, adhering to all housekeeping and Safety standards.
- Wear appropriate PPE , including safety glasses, gloves, and steel-toed boots, at all times.
- Follow all established safety procedures and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Assist with inventory management tasks, such as cycle counting and stock checks.
- Support other warehouse functions as needed, such as order picking and packing.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Proven experience operating forklifts and other powered industrial trucks is essential.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including frequent Lifting of up to 50 lbs, and standing/walking for extended periods.
- Knowledge of warehouse Logistics and inventory control principles.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Excellent understanding of safety regulations and procedures.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Reliability and punctuality.
- Willingness to adhere to all PPE requirements.
