Job Summary:
Boston, Massachusetts is seeking a meticulous Inventory Control Specialist to join our warehouse team. This position is vital for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our stock, directly impacting the efficiency of our logistics and supply chain. You will be responsible for conducting detailed inventory counts, investigating and resolving discrepancies, and implementing robust control procedures. The ideal candidate possesses exceptional organizational skills, a sharp analytical mind, and a deep understanding of inventory management principles. Your work will help ensure optimal stock levels, minimize waste, and contribute to overall operational excellence. Safety is a core component of this role.
Responsibilities:
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and periodic physical inventories with high accuracy.
  • Investigate root causes of inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
  • Maintain and update inventory records within the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
  • Monitor inventory levels and report on stock status to management.
  • Implement and enforce inventory control procedures to prevent loss and errors.
  • Analyze inventory data to identify trends and suggest process improvements for logistics.
  • Coordinate with receiving and shipping departments to ensure stock accuracy.
  • Ensure proper storage conditions and handling of all inventory items.
  • Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures, including the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Assist with special inventory projects and audits as required.
  • Perform tasks that involve occasional lifting up to 30 lbs.

Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in inventory control, warehouse management, or a related field. Proficiency with WMS software and Microsoft Excel. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Excellent attention to detail. Understanding of logistics and supply chain operations. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Commitment to maintaining a safe working environment and adhering to safety regulations.
