We are hiring a Receiving Clerk for our San Jose, California facility. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the accurate and efficient processing of all incoming shipments. Your duties will include unloading trucks, verifying received goods against purchase orders, inspecting for damages, and entering receiving data into our system. This position is a critical link in our logistics chain, ensuring that inventory levels are accurate and that goods are ready for put-away or processing. You will maintain an organized and safe receiving area, handling materials properly and following all warehouse safety guidelines, including the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). The Receiving Clerk will also assist in stocking received items and may be involved in other warehouse duties as needed. The ability to perform tasks requiring moderate lifting and a keen eye for detail are essential. A good understanding of warehouse operations and logistics procedures is beneficial. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments.
- Verify quantities and quality against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Document and report any discrepancies, damages, or shortages.
- Enter receiving information accurately into the inventory management system.
- Organize and stage received goods for put-away.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly receiving area.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Properly use required PPE.
- Operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks.
- Assist with inventory control tasks as required.
- Handle items requiring lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Support overall warehouse logistics and inventory accuracy.
