Job Summary:
Our busy distribution center in Portland, Oregon, is seeking an experienced and certified Forklift Operator. This critical role involves operating forklifts to move, load, and unload materials throughout the warehouse. You will play a vital part in maintaining the flow of inventory and ensuring the efficient operation of our **logistics** network. **Safety** is paramount in this position, and adherence to all operating procedures and **PPE** guidelines is mandatory. Responsibilities:
  • Safely operate various types of forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach truck) to move pallets and materials.
  • Load and unload trucks efficiently and accurately.
  • Transport materials to and from designated storage areas within the warehouse.
  • Perform routine inspections of forklift equipment to ensure operational **safety** and report any issues.
  • Stack and stage inventory according to established procedures.
  • Assist with inventory management tasks, including cycle counts and location verification.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, free from obstructions.
  • Adhere to all **safety** regulations, including **PPE** requirements, and company policies.
  • Be proficient in **Lifting** and maneuvering loads safely.

Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Valid forklift operator certification. Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse environment. Knowledge of warehouse **safety** procedures and **PPE** requirements. Ability to perform **Lifting** of heavy items when necessary. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to **safety**. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Understanding of **logistics** processes is beneficial. Must be reliable and punctual.
