We are looking for a diligent Order Picker to join our bustling warehouse facility in Omaha, Nebraska. As an Order Picker, you will play a vital role in our logistics chain by accurately retrieving products from warehouse shelves and preparing them for shipment. This position demands speed, accuracy, and a keen eye for detail to ensure that customer orders are fulfilled correctly. You will be responsible for navigating the warehouse, locating specified items using pick lists or scanning devices, and transporting them to the packing station. Maintaining a safe work environment is paramount, and all team members are expected to adhere to strict safety procedures, including the proper use of PPE. The ideal candidate possesses physical stamina for standing, walking, and lifting throughout their shift. This role is essential for the efficient flow of goods through our distribution center, contributing directly to customer satisfaction. We value teamwork and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately select items from inventory based on order specifications.
- Use RF scanners or pick sheets to identify and locate products.
- Transport picked items to designated packing or staging areas.
- Verify product information against order details to ensure accuracy.
- Maintain a clean and organized work station.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Report any discrepancies or damages to supervisors immediately.
- Assist with inventory checks and stock replenishment as needed.
- Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve daily goals.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or order picking role is advantageous.
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, involving frequent walking and standing.
- Capable of lifting up to 40 pounds regularly.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Understanding of basic inventory control principles.
- Familiarity with RF scanning technology is a plus.
