We are hiring a skilled Material Handler for our San Francisco, California operations. As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials within the warehouse. This includes operating various types of material handling equipment, loading and unloading trucks, and ensuring materials are stored correctly. This position is essential for maintaining the flow of goods within our logistics network and requires physical stamina and a strong commitment to Safety.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload trucks and containers.
- Move materials to and from designated storage areas.
- Assist with inventory control and stock organization.
- Inspect equipment before and after use, reporting any issues.
- Follow all Safety regulations and company procedures.
- Ensure proper use of PPE at all times.
- Perform regular maintenance checks on equipment.
- Assist with shipping and receiving as needed.
- Handle tasks involving significant Lifting and physical exertion.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of the logistics department.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or forklift operator.
- Valid forklift certification is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to operate various types of material handling equipment.
- Knowledge of warehouse Safety procedures and best practices.
- Physical ability to perform tasks involving heavy Lifting, pushing, and pulling.
- Must be reliable and punctual.
- Commitment to wearing required PPE.
