Our Kansas City, Missouri facility is looking for a proactive Warehouse Coordinator to manage and optimize our warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supervising daily activities, ensuring efficient workflow, and maintaining high standards of safety and accuracy. This role is central to our logistics operations, requiring strong leadership, organizational skills, and a keen eye for detail. You will be instrumental in managing inventory, coordinating shipments, and ensuring our team is working effectively and safely.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise warehouse staff, assigning tasks and ensuring productivity targets are met.
- Manage inventory levels and conduct regular audits to ensure accuracy.
- Coordinate the receiving, storing, and shipping of goods.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
- Operate and maintain warehouse equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks.
- Communicate with management, staff, and external partners to facilitate smooth operations.
- Implement and enforce safety procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Assist with training new employees on warehouse procedures and safety practices.
- Manage documentation related to shipments and inventory.
- Support the broader logistics network with timely and accurate order fulfillment.
- Handle tasks requiring considerable Lifting, often in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED; further education in Logistics or Supply Chain Management is a plus.
- Demonstrated experience as a Warehouse Coordinator or in a similar supervisory logistics role.
- Proficiency in warehouse management software.
- Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Familiarity with Safety standards and procedures in a warehouse setting.
- Must be capable of continuous physical exertion, including significant Lifting.
- Knowledge of proper PPE and its importance in preventing injuries.
