We are seeking a dedicated Material Handler to become a key part of our St. Louis, Missouri warehouse team. This role is crucial for the efficient operation of our distribution center, focusing on the safe and effective movement of goods. As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for receiving, stocking, and preparing materials for shipment. You will utilize equipment such as pallet jacks and hand trucks, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail in all tasks. This position is fundamental to our logistics network, ensuring that inventory is managed properly and that products move smoothly through our facility. Key Responsibilities:
- Receive and inspect incoming materials, verifying quantities and quality.
- Organize and stock materials in designated warehouse locations.
- Transport materials using pallet jacks, hand trucks, and other equipment.
- Pick, pack, and stage orders for outgoing shipments.
- Conduct inventory counts and assist in maintaining accurate stock levels.
- Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work environment at all times.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE .
- Support the overall efficiency and effectiveness of our logistics operations.
- Perform tasks involving regular lifting up to 40 lbs.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve operational goals.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a warehouse or material handling role is preferred.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including standing, walking, bending, and lifting.
- Familiarity with warehouse equipment and inventory management principles.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable and punctual attendance is essential.
