You will be responsible for locating specific items within our warehouse, verifying them against order details, and carefully packing them to ensure they arrive safely at their destination. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick specified items from warehouse inventory using order sheets or scanning devices.
- Inspect picked items for any damage or defects.
- Pack items securely and efficiently into appropriate shipping containers.
- Apply correct shipping labels and any necessary documentation to packages.
- Operate basic warehouse equipment, such as pallet jacks, safely.
- Maintain a clean and organized packing station and work area.
- Meet established picking and packing speed and accuracy standards.
- Adhere strictly to all safety guidelines and wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Assist with inventory counts and stock management as needed.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth workflow and order fulfillment.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse, order picking, or packing role is advantageous.
- Ability to stand, walk, and move around the warehouse for extended periods.
- Physical capacity to lift items up to 40 lbs.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Understanding of basic warehouse operations and logistics.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Dependability and punctuality.
- Adherence to all safety procedures, including the consistent use of PPE.
