We are looking for dedicated Picker/Packers to join our busy warehouse operations in Indianapolis, Indiana. In this role, you will be instrumental in fulfilling customer orders efficiently and accurately. Your main responsibilities will include accurately picking items from warehouse shelves based on order forms or scanner data, and then carefully packing these items for shipment. This position requires a high level of concentration, speed, and accuracy. You will work within our established logistics framework, ensuring that orders are processed correctly and dispatched promptly. We prioritize a safe working environment, and you will receive thorough training on all safety procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE. The ideal candidate is a team-oriented individual with a strong work ethic and a commitment to meeting performance targets. This role involves significant physical activity, including standing, walking, and lifting throughout your shift. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products from warehouse locations according to order tickets.
- Pack items securely and efficiently for shipment, ensuring product integrity.
- Verify picked items against order details to ensure accuracy.
- Utilize RF scanners or other technology to manage inventory and orders.
- Stage packed orders for the shipping department.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to 5S principles.
- Follow all safety protocols and wear appropriate PPE.
- Assist with inventory counts as directed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous experience in picking and packing or warehouse work is an advantage.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Good manual dexterity and attention to detail.
- Ability to work at a steady pace in a dynamic logistics environment.
- Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to all guidelines, including PPE usage.
