We are looking for a meticulous Inventory Control Specialist to join our team in Durham, North Carolina. This critical role ensures the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory, which is vital for efficient operations and customer satisfaction within our logistics network. You will be responsible for managing inventory levels, conducting regular audits, investigating discrepancies, and implementing procedures to minimize errors and stock adjustments. Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate inventory records using WMS (Warehouse Management System) software.
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits to verify stock levels.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, identifying root causes.
- Implement and enforce inventory control policies and procedures.
- Monitor stock rotation (FIFO/LIFO) and ensure product freshness and shelf-life management.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends, forecast needs, and recommend improvements.
- Coordinate with receiving, shipping, and operations teams to ensure smooth material flow.
- Process stock adjustments, transfers, and returns accurately.
- Ensure proper storage and organization of all inventory items.
- Adhere to all Safety standards, including proper lifting techniques and the use of required PPE.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field is a plus.
- Proven experience in inventory control, warehouse management, or a similar role.
- Proficiency with WMS and ERP systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs, and standing for extended periods.
- Knowledge of inventory best practices and logistics principles.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
