Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on warehouse equipment, including forklifts, conveyor belts, and automated systems.
- Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues to minimize downtime.
- Ensure all equipment is operating safely and efficiently, adhering to manufacturer specifications and safety regulations.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and implement preventative measures.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inventory of spare parts.
- Collaborate with operational teams to understand equipment needs and implement solutions.
- Ensure compliance with all safety protocols, including the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Assist with the installation and setup of new equipment.
- Provide technical support and training to warehouse staff as needed.
- Involve regular lifting and manual dexterity for repairs.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a maintenance technician, preferably in a warehouse or industrial setting.
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Experience with various types of warehouse machinery and automation systems.
- Knowledge of safety standards and regulations in a logistics environment.
- Ability to read technical manuals and schematics.
- Proficiency in performing lifting and using tools required for repairs.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs occasionally.
