Are you a skilled and safety-conscious Forklift Operator looking for a new challenge? Our busy distribution center in Charlotte, North Carolina, is seeking an experienced individual to join our operations team. As a Forklift Operator, you will play a vital role in the movement of materials within our facility, ensuring that goods are stored, retrieved, and transported efficiently and safely. Your expertise in operating various types of forklifts, including sit-down, stand-up, and reach trucks, will be essential. This position requires a strong commitment to safety protocols and a keen eye for detail to prevent accidents and damage to inventory. You will be responsible for loading and unloading trucks, moving pallets of goods to and from racking systems, and assisting with inventory management tasks. We pride ourselves on maintaining a secure and productive work environment. A thorough understanding of warehouse logistics and best practices is highly valued. This role involves significant physical activity, including the ability to perform heavy lifting of up to 50 lbs regularly and working in a fast-paced, demanding setting. Candidates must be reliable, punctual, and able to work collaboratively with a team. Continuous training on new equipment and safety procedures will be provided. Strict adherence to wearing required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is non-negotiable. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move materials within the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks and containers.
- Transport goods to and from designated storage areas.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on forklifts.
- Follow all safety guidelines and procedures, including proper use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory counts and organization.
- Identify and report any damaged goods or equipment malfunctions.
- Work collaboratively with team members to meet daily production goals.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Support overall logistics operations as needed.
