This role is crucial to the efficient movement of materials and products within our logistics facility. You will be responsible for safely operating forklifts to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. A strong emphasis is placed on Safety, efficiency, and accuracy. Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) to move pallets and materials within the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently and accurately.
- Transport materials to and from production, storage, and shipping areas.
- Perform routine inspections of forklift equipment to ensure proper working order and report any issues.
- Stack and organize inventory in designated locations, ensuring stability and accessibility.
- Assist with order picking and put-away processes as needed.
- Adhere strictly to all company Safety policies and procedures, including mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Maintain a clean and organized work area around operating zones.
- Support overall logistics operations by ensuring efficient material flow.
- Participate in inventory counts and assist with stocktaking as required.
Qualifications:
- Valid Forklift Operator certification and proven experience.
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or logistics environment.
- Ability to perform frequent Lifting and maneuvering of items up to 50 lbs.
- Thorough understanding of warehouse Safety regulations and forklift operating procedures.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
