Project Manager – Recycled Copper Refining
Job Overview
- 1. Responsible for the overall coordination, construction management, and implementation of overseas recycled copper refining projects.
- Implement the company's construction policy, fulfill the tasks of building the entire production line, and comprehensively manage and coordinate all on-site construction and supervision units.
- Implement local policies, regulations, and industry standards to ensure the project meets environmental emission standards, safety production requirements, fire protection regulations, and engineering quality standards.
- Develop and implement the project's objectives and implementation plan, and organize the project's construction tasks according to the plan; ensure comprehensive control, management, and supervision of project progress, quality, safety, and cost to ensure the achievement of business objectives.
- Review and approve relevant construction designs and special plans, and strengthen supervision and management during the construction phase.
- Review and approve process design schemes and drawings, and review and approve major technical issues related to smelting and refining processes, equipment, production facilities, steps, parameters, energy consumption, environmental protection and material recycling systems, waste heat recovery systems, and public works systems.
- Responsible for the overall coordination and management of construction units, supervision units, design units and equipment suppliers during the construction period, solving technical and management problems in the implementation of the project, and ensuring the smooth progress of the project and its readiness for production.
Professional Skills
- Familiar with pyrometallurgical refining production processes, technologies, equipment, and related supporting facilities, such as tilting furnaces, reverberatory furnaces, or NGL furnaces, as well as anode plate casting and electrolytic refining processes; possess the ability to organize commissioning and provide production guidance.
- Familiar with engineering drawings for recycled copper smelting and refining projects; able to identify design issues and promote rectification.
- Possess the ability to coordinate the entire construction process of a recycled copper smelting project, including civil engineering, equipment installation, commissioning, and trial production organization.

Professional Requirements
Metallurgical Engineering (with preference given to non-ferrous metallurgy), Materials Science and Engineering, Engineering Management, Thermal Energy and Power Engineering, and other related majors.
Work Experience
- Possess over 3 years of experience in the construction and management of recycled copper or non-ferrous metal smelting projects; have been responsible for the overall construction and management of one or more smelting projects.
- Be familiar with the installation, commissioning, and management of pyrometallurgical refining furnaces, casting systems, dust collection and desulfurization systems, electrolysis systems, and utilities systems.
Skill Requirements
- Preference will be given to candidates holding one of the following certificates: Registered Construction Engineer (Mechanical and Electrical or Metallurgical Engineering), Registered Metallurgical Engineer, or Supervision Engineer.
- Preference will be given to candidates with experience in the construction and operation management of non-ferrous metal smelting projects (especially recycled copper smelting and refining), particularly those with experience in the construction and operation management of large-scale tilting furnace/anodine furnace pyrometallurgical refining + hydrometallurgical refining projects.
- Familiarity with non-ferrous metallurgical construction, special electromechanical equipment installation processes, and relevant national standards; a certain level of knowledge in various aspects of recycled copper refining (such as smelting process equipment, thermal engineering, environmental dust removal, and desulfurization and denitrification).
- Strong organizational, judgment, decision-making, communication, planning, and execution abilities; good professional ethics and strong ability to work under pressure.
- Willingness to work long-term overseas (in the United States or Saudi Arabia).
