  • Coverage Dates: March 9 March 13, 2026.
  • Schedule: Night call only.
  • Call Type: Off-site; call may be taken from home or a hotel.
  • Response Time: 30-minute response required if called in.
  • EMR: Epic.
Scope of Practice
  • Duties: Night call for emergent General Surgery consults and procedures.
  • Volume: Callback frequency is historically low.
  • Environment: Supported by the OSF surgical team; emergency privileges are available for candidates with a clean background.
Provider Requirements
  • Board Status: Board Certified or Board Eligible in General Surgery.
  • Licensure: Active Illinois State License and IL CSR are required at the time of application.
  • Certifications: Active ACLS and BLS.
  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year post-residency experience.
  • Note: IMLC candidates will not be considered for this role.
