Surgery - Plastic Physician

ATC West Healthcare Services is seeking a full-time Plastic Surgeon to provide comprehensive reconstructive and cosmetic care at a facility in IA. This position offers a balanced schedule of clinic, OR, and on-call responsibilities, with strong support from advanced practice and nursing staff. The ideal candidate will be board certified, experienced, and committed to delivering high-quality surgical care across inpatient and outpatient settings.

• Type: Full-time

• Hours: 36 patient contact hours per week

• Schedule: Monday Friday, 7:30 a.m. 4:30 p.m.

• Procedure/OR Days: 2 4 per week

• Call: Participates in rotation for soft tissue call, clinic call, and EMTALA call

• Setting: Inpatient and outpatient

• Outreach / Telehealth: None

• Team Composition:

  • 1 Physician, 1 Advanced Practice Provider (no supervision required)

  • Nursing Support: 1:1

  • Ancillary Staff: 0.5:1 ratio

• Clinic Volume: 16+ patients per full clinic day ( min appointments)

• Patient Population: Surgical and cosmetic patients of all ages

• EMR: Epic

• Teaching Opportunities: Available

• Responsibilities Include:

  • Performing reconstructive and cosmetic surgeries

  • Trauma and soft tissue call coverage

  • ER consults, in-office procedures, and reconstructive collaboration with breast surgeons

• Board Certification: Required (Plastic Surgery)

• Licensure: Active Iowa license or active IMLC (LOQ required at name clear)

• Experience: Prior plastic surgery experience required

• Background: Clean malpractice and background record required
