Responsibilities We are looking for motivated Master's students to join the National Security Internship Program (NSIP) in our AIDA Division. Here, you will engage in meaningful work that tackles national challenges in security, energy, and the environment. As an intern, you will have the chance to: Apply advanced computational, statistical, and mathematical techniques to address complex problems. Develop innovative coding solutions to enhance data analysis. Participate in stimulating cyber competitions. Design compelling data visualizations to communicate insights. Work with big data while optimizing solutions across various domains. Internships are set to commence in May or June 2026, providing a collaborative cohort experience. Diverse Focus Areas:
As an intern, you can specialize in one of six technical groups: Math, Stats, and Data Science:
Engage in meaningful mathematical modeling and computational statistics to solve real-world challenges. Applied AI Systems:
Develop robust models that translate complex data into actionable insights within operational contexts. Foundational Data Science:
Create new algorithms and tools for understanding and utilizing large datasets. Software Engineering & Architectures:
Construct scalable cloud-based solutions for extensive data analysis and operational support. Human Centered Computing:
Innovate with visualizations and interactions to provide deeper insights from data. Operational Readiness & Enablement:
Ensure delivery of high-quality solutions by adhering to best software development practices. Positions are based in Richland or Seattle, WA.
