Salary: $84,806- $102,353
The Research Foundation for Mental Hygiene, Inc., is seeking a qualified candidate to fill the full-time Data Analyst position. We are seeking a Data Analyst to support the statewide implementation of Individual Placement and Support (IPS) in California. The ideal candidate understands data systems and coordinates effectively across technical and non-technical teams. Core responsibilities span the full data lifecycle - from collection and quality assurance to visualization and reporting - across a complex, multi-stakeholder project.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Coordinate across data, implementation, and external development teams to ensure alignment throughout project workflows
Translate program and project requirements into clear technical specifications for the development team
Maintain data dictionaries and documentation across all data collection and visualization projects
Manage and maintain REDCap systems, including documenting data architecture
Assist with development and execution of data QA procedures
Lead data submissions, coordinating across teams to ensure datasets are prepared, cleaned, and validated on schedule
Collect stakeholder feedback and conduct UX activities to drive iterative improvements to data systems
Provide user support for data collection and visualization systems
Write specifications for multi-level data visualizations and dashboards
Conduct data analyses to support project goals and troubleshoot issues
Assist with development of training materials
Manage reporting workflows to ensure timely, accurate delivery to diverse stakeholders
Minimum Qualifications:
Master's in public health, health informatics, data science, or a related field
At least 3 years of experience in data coordination, health informatics, or similar roles, including project management responsibilities
At least 2 years of project management experience working across multiple stakeholders with varying technical backgrounds
At least 1 year of hands-on experience independently building and managing REDCap projects
At least 2 years of experience writing SQL queries (joins, aggregations, subqueries)
At least 1 year of experience with a data visualization platform (Power BI, Tableau, or similar)
At least 1 year of experience using Python for data analysis and scripting
Must live within commuting distance
Preferred Qualifications:
PhD in a related field
At least 2 years of experience working in mental health services, evidence-based practices, or health services research
At least 1 year of experience working on implementation science, health services research, or statewide system-level projects
At least 1 year of experience conducting user research activities such as interviews, focus groups, or usability testing
