Work with a global team and supplier base to implement system hardware and software. Verify designs through both laboratory and airplane testing.
Work with airplane systems from initial concept through certification, delivery, and in-service life.Within the Common Core System team, these positions may be assigned to work with:Component design, development, and qualification.System Requirements documentation, validation, and verification.Support of System Safety Analysis and Safety of Flight determinations.Support of computing hardware and software, and execution of ground-based software tools.Position Responsibilities:Works with customers to develop and document complex electronic and electrical system requirements.Analyzes and translates requirements into system, hardware, and software designs and interface specifications.Tests and validates to ensure system designs meet operational and functional requirements.Monitors supplier performance to ensure system integration and compliance with requirements.Solves problems concerning, and provides other support of, fielded hardware and software over the entire product lifecycle.Work Authorization: If the successful candidate is not a “U.S. Person“ (as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 “U.S. Person” includes U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, refugees, or asylees) and the position requires access to export-controlled data, an appropriate export authorization by the U.S. Government may be required prior to such access. Employment, and the continuity of employment of non-U.S. persons, is contingent upon the company’s ability to secure and maintain the necessary export control authorization.This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options (Everett, WA).Basic Qualifications (Required Skills / Experience):Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.1+ years of experience in an engineering role.Preferred Qualification (Desired Skills / Experience):3+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.5+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Experience within Electronic Systems hardware and software designFamiliarity with engineering processes and methodsKnowledge of FAA certificationExperience with system design and integration during an airplane development programExperience working with cross functional teamsDemonstrated project management skills within a fast paced highly integrated environmentExperience with Model Based Development tools.Drug Free Workplace: Boeing is a Drug Free Workplace where post offer applicants and employees are subject to testing for marijuana, cocaine, opioids, amphetamines, PCP, and alcohol when criteria is met as outlined in our policies.Union: This is a union-represented position.Pay and Benefits: At Boeing, we strive to deliver a Total Rewards package that will attract, engage and retain the top talent.
