Nursery Third in Charge

Contract: 12-month FTC

Salary: £34,000 per annum

Hours: 45 hours per week

We’re on the lookout for an enthusiastic and experienced Deputy Manager to support the day-to-day running of our nursery. In this role, you will lead and inspire our dedicated team while ensuring the highest standards of care, learning, and compliance. You’ll work closely with the Nursery Manager to create a positive environment for children, families, and staff.

*This bonus will be paid after just 6 months of service and is based on a 40-hour week, making it the perfect time to join our team and be recognized for your qualifications and contributions.

• Ensure the safety and wellbeing of every child, staff member, parent, and visitor at all times.
• Understand and ensure compliance with the statutory framework for the EYFS throughout the nursery.
• Assist in managing the acceptance and administration of medication, ensuring care plans are thorough and up to date.
• Provide stimulating and purposeful experiences, environments, and resources appropriate to each child's age and stage of development.
• Promote respect and credibility through effective communication skills, impartiality, and consistency.
• Inspire the staff team with creative ideas and new challenges to achieve outstanding practice.
• Undertake any other duties to ensure the smooth running of the nursery and the safety and wellbeing of children, staff, and families.

• Full and relevant Level 3 in Childcare qualification - Essential
• Over 1 year of experience working in Early Years - Essential
• Sound knowledge of the statutory framework for the EYFS and regulatory requirements - Essential
• Over 1 year of experience in a management position - Desirable
• Level 5 qualification in Childcare and/or Management and Leadership - Desirable
• Experience of successfully passing an Ofsted inspection to good or outstanding - Desirable
