As part of the CloudOps and Infrastructure team, you will leverage your coding skills to implement software engineering paradigms, utilize infrastructure as code, deploy applications efficiently through Kubernetes, and collaborate seamlessly with backend, frontend, mobile, and data engineering teams. Key Responsibilities: Create custom GitHub Actions to streamline application builds. Develop scripts for application deployment across platforms. Establish a framework for container backups and restorations. Gain expertise in Kubernetes and enhance auto-remediation of cluster issues. Utilize Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Terraform to manage resources, ensuring best practices for reporting and monitoring. Facilitate knowledge sharing within the team and with development teams. Mentor junior developers in technical design and implementation. Strengthen account security while maintaining deployment ease. Engage collaboratively across all organizational levels to harness our collective intelligence. Participate actively in meetings, trainings, and customer engagements to build strong relationships. Requirements: Education:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field required. Equivalent experience will be considered, with one year of relevant professional experience accounting for each year of required education. Experience:
5-7 years of relevant experience is required. Experience in transportation, logistics, or technology is a plus. Skills & Abilities: Proficient with container platforms like Talos and Kubernetes. Hands-on experience with AWS and terminal-based languages such as Bash and PowerShell. Strong debugging skills in Linux systems. Experience coding IaC using Terraform. Ability to troubleshoot Linux systems, including server and Docker environments. Strategic and conceptual thinking skills. Exceptional data and process analysis capabilities. Strong relationship-building skills. Adept at leading medium to large projects and managing change effectively. Proactive problem solver with effective communication abilities. Work Environment: This position is located at our U.S. Xpress Headquarters with standard office settings. Employees may be asked to perform other duties, and responsibilities may evolve.
