As the leader of the Cloud Provisioning team, you will direct the strategic development and execution of our infrastructure provisioning experience. You will focus on enhancing the developer experience surrounding cloud account provisioning and infrastructure, engaging collaboratively with teams across the organization. What you'll be doing (job duties): Build and lead engineering teams to develop innovative features, services, and infrastructures for both web and mobile applications.
Mentor your team members to foster their growth and positively impact the organization.
Work with engineers, designers, product managers, and senior leadership to turn our vision into actionable quarterly roadmaps, breaking down complex projects into manageable components and guiding the iterative design and implementation process.
Serve as a knowledgeable technical voice for the team, making informed architectural decisions and nurturing a culture of high-quality code and engineering practices. Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to ensure the smooth delivery and operation of multi-tenanted, distributed systems at scale.
Partner with our talent acquisition team to recruit exceptional engineers who align with Coinbase's culture and enhance our products.
Take ownership of processes that drive engineering quality and ensure we meet our engineering service level agreements (SLAs).
What we look for in you (job requirements): A minimum of 7 years of software engineering experience.
At least 2 years of experience in an engineering management role.
Proven experience managing critical, high-traffic infrastructure with expertise in metrics monitoring, unix network troubleshooting, scaling, and addressing performance and reliability issues proactively.
Strong capacity for balancing long-term strategic vision with immediate planning needs.
Experience in creating, delivering, and maintaining multi-tenanted, distributed systems at a large scale.
Willingness to be hands-on when necessary, whether it's coding, participating in on-call rotations, or troubleshooting issues.
A passion for building an open financial system that connects the world inspires you to excel in this role.
Nice to haves: Experience with distributed systems and concepts like active-active clustering.
Experience enhancing a company during rapid growth (from 10 to hundreds of engineers).
A background in building financial, high-reliability, or secure systems.

base
salary for this role ranges from $218,025 to $256,500 USD, based on your work location. Full-time offers at Coinbase also include bonus eligibility, equity opportunities, and benefits including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k).
